เมื่อวันที่ 1 ตุลาคม 2562 คุณราชันย์ มณีกาญจน์ (เลขาธิการสมาคม YMCA เชียงใหม่) และคุณจุฬารัตน์ พงศ์ทัดศิริกุล (รองเลขาธิการสมาคม YMCA เชียงใหม่) ให้การต้อนรับครอบครัวชาวอเมริกัน คุณ Sam Skeene และคุณ Nicole ที่จะมาพำนักอยู่เชียงใหม่ ทั้งสองถือว่าเป็นบุคคลสำคัญที่ให้ร่วมมือกับสหพันธ์ วาย.เอ็ม.ซีเอ. เอเชียแปซิฟิก ในการก่อตั้ง YMCA หลวงพระบาง(สปป.ลาว)

On October 1, 2019 Mr.Rachan Maneekarn (General Secretary of YMCA Chiangmai) and Ms.Chularat Phongtudsirikul (Associate GA of YMCA Chiangmai) have welcomed Mr.Sam & Ms.Nicole Skeene, the American family at YMCA of Chiagmai, Thailand. Both of them have played an important role as seed people in cooperation with Luang Prabang people at the establishment of the YMCA there in support of the Asia and Pacific Alliance of YMCAs.
